Payroll Specialist


We have a great opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team.

You will work as part of a small finance team, providing payroll services to the hotel. The role can be Part Time, with full dedication to Payroll, or Full Time, providing support to the Finance team with other duties. The role can be office based or hybrid combining home based work with attendance to the office. The standard work hours align with office hours, but a degree of flexibility is required to ensure that all payroll deadlines are met.

About You:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and PAYE procedures.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including active listening and accurate response to employee questions.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for calculating and validating software generated tax and wage calculations.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with office and payroll software such as Excel.
  • Self motivation and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to deliver payroll services.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and independently while being an integral team member.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ADP Payroll software.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
  • Ideally, Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals qualification or working towards.
